The Wedding Wildcats lost a tough one today. The Holy Trinity Bulldogs came to Weddington with their playoff hopes on the line, it was win or go home for the season. With 38 seconds left on the clock the Wildcats were behind 20-14 and took possession of the ball on their own 45 yard line. Joey threw deep to Isaiah which moved the ball to the Bulldogs' 20 yard line. Wildcats took their final time out.1rst and goal at the 9 yd line with 7 seconds left on the clock. Joey takes the snap rolls left fires to the 1 yard line where RB Jonathan Christian caught the ball and was brought down 2 feet shy of the goal line. Time runs out, game over.
This ends the undefeated season for the Wildcats as they advance to the playoffs but as Patriots fans we all know that undefeated seasons don't mean much when it comes to winning championships.
