Ally fell off her bike (and onto her wrist apparently) yesterday. After getting x-rays at the local

clinic they concluded it was broken so we went to the emergency room of the nearest hospital with a 24 hour orthopedist. Just 6 and a half short hours later she walked out with a cast and a complimentary ice cream. It could have been worse if she wasn't wearing a helmet since she ended up with a mouth full of dirt and grass stuck in her sunglasses. It's a good lesson for all

her cousins (and aunts and uncles) to ALWAYS wear a helmet when biking.

The patient took the day off from school today for a little pampering but will be back

at her desk tomorrow. She is taking it all in stride with a smile but is a little bummed

to be on the DL for the rest of the softball season, she was starting to hit really well.

She should have her cast off by late June just in time to enjoy her summer.
