Last weekend Mary, Jim, Joe, Christen, and Joe's friend, David donned their helmets and their bike gear to ride in the MS CCG.  It started in Boston on Saturday morning in the pouring rain.  By mid-morning it had cleared a little and after riding through Dorchester, Quincy, Weymouth, Hingham, Cohasset, Scituate, Marshfield, Duxbury, and Pembroke they arrived at the Halifax rest stop where there was a crowd of family and friends to greet them.  Volunteering at the Halifax rest stop were Angela, Adam, Peg, Jim D, Pete H, Jen, Kelly, Lynn, Ann, Chris, and Ken.  They snacked, changed their wet clothes, fixed up their bikes, and smiled for some photo ops and then they continued on their way to Mass Maritime in Bourne.  The whole trip was incident free except for a few flat tires.  After showering, eating, and drinking at MMA for awhile most of us went on to the beach house in Sandwich that Ann had rented for the week.  It was, after all, Ann's birthday so we sang, had cake, and skyped, Mom and Dad.  Then Sunday we all spent a relaxing day at the beach down the street.  What a great weekend.  I am so proud of my family, they are the greatest!!
