The Braintree Wamps Girl's Varsity tennis team has made it to the State Tournament!! This has not happened in over 30 years so it's sort of history in the making...........
Jen plays 2nd Doubles on the team and won nearly all of her matches this season. The team needed one more win to qualify for States. It came down to playing Brookline yesterday, who also needed the win to qualify. Brookline is really very good (and has a little attitude), so it was definitely a sweet victory for Braintree! The tournament starts next Friday. We'll keep you posted. Go Jen!!
Kelly is following in her foot steps by becoming an official USTA member and playing in Club Tournaments every weekend. She's racking up the prizes (t-shirts, towels, hats, etc.) and is working hard at keeping her John McEnroe enthusiasm (if you know what I mean) under control.
The next goal for the two of them is to beat Pete! Somebody has to do it - it's up to them now.
